Sandra Randall Mclean's
work is "sublime". How does
one qualify using such a strongly subjective word
to define a particular
style of painting?
Yet this is precisely the "magic" at play when seeing
her work. Sandra's use of soft edges, soft color,
soft light and her deep love of nature and the act of
painting, combine to create a magnificent
"dreaminess". The subject is transformed,
impressionistically, into something we can easily
submerge the senses into.
Much of her inspiration originates in observations
of her favorite places; the New England coast,
picturesque little towns, shimmering lakes,
quaint winding country roads, meadows, babbling
brooks, and signature rolling hills. She's a free spirit
at heart, a native New Englander, who easily connects
with the deeper self and accompanying feelings
when in the midst of a "typical" New England day.
The easily changeable atmosphere acts only as a
muse for Sandra, with which she readily harmonizes
and seizes it's best qualities. Her work is a force of
nature in as much as she so aptly understands all
its magnificence.
It is our pleasure to present her work to you today.
Please feel free to contact Sandra directly if you have
any questions or would like additional
information about her work or her thoughts.
